DID patients since the 90s are told their memories are false & DID isn't real DID patients now are finding out online, because there is no effective screening or assessment or treatment available - only hoops to jump with "sorry no funding" at the end /2
TW: medical trauma/gaslighting Patients under Freud were told their CSA memories are a fantasy Patients under Sargant (UK) were forced into weeks of coma and ECT that took their memories DID patients in the 80s could be strapped down & drugged to force them to switch... /1

@jaunty_aphorism Ah :/ I don't want to be annoying with a million suggestions, but I know a few more things for OSDD/DID which may or may not help. Ok if I DM you? Like support groups - might not be helpful to talk about what's happened there. But maybe someone there knows where you can!
@jaunty_aphorism The Survivors Trust helpline staff are trained in dissociation. Opening hours here: thesurvivorstrust.org/our-helpline/ It can be hard to get through and you only get 20 minutes. But you can call them once a day I'm so sorry this happened and that you're going through this rn :(
Accepting that I'm often too dissociated to safely cook was hard. I feel gross and worry I'm finding excuses not to do things... But here's the thing: we haven't burned our hand in months. Surely that's something? Accepting disability, not pushing through, is hard :(

This is super important - sometimes people aren't trying to criticize or nitpick but are just trying to help. I never would have believed shaping the nose wire of a bifold KN95 made so much difference in safety until I saw these numbers!
@theLUCASTDS @Feisty_Waters I'm sorry for sounding critical before, I agree all masking is better than none, however fit factor improves 5-10x on bifolds just by shaping the nose wire, so I made a video because it’s really important for safety when masking, whatever your chosen mask
