@brakes4081 @renewablesmiffy Renewable energy was never the sole solution. In the same way that fossil fuel has never been the stable solution. The infrastructure changes to go from a central distribution to a decentralised version is happening, but like with HS2, people don’t want it in their back yard.

@antonliubich Yes. The post office was government owned. And this was a failure on the executive side for the actions it took. But it was punished for it. Our water companies actively pour waste into the rivers to keep their bottom line looking good which has resulted in deaths. No punishment.

@DanielPriestley This graph shows nothing. It does not differentiate between cash or assets, between wealth heals inside the country or outside it, like tax havens, and may not cover intangibles like stocks, or other such wealth that gives an owner power without having to sell that wealth.

@10to15percent @moving_charlie Simply put, because the European settlers could not survive in the African countries, so instead removed the workforce and resources by force the more temperate American continent. And from that base built the richer nation on the backs of other places they could plunder.
