Not going to lie, if the packet prices don’t prevent programs from smaller schools from recruiting during the multiple eval periods, the hotel rates will. Out of the way locations w/out enough hotels. Captured audiences & sky high hotel rates are not cool for families or schools.
Why are people offended by teenagers who may not be future college players wanting to play more basketball? Shouldn’t our first goal be to promote physical activity and other life lessons through the game, not see how quickly we can get rid of everyone not deemed to be elite?

Not gonna lie, when people say AAU should only be for “elite” players, it triggers me🤬👊 My daughter, not an elite player, only plays AAU for me. Knew it had been better for her mental health. Had no idea the complete positive impact it had on her till she read me her speech❤️

@John_Fanta I am ready to be done with college basketball and I grew up loving it. I was taught to play for the name on the front of the jersey. Until stability arrives and the money runs out nothing will ever change.

@John_Fanta This is because the former head of the NCAA , Mark Emmert, did nothing to earn his $2,000,000+ per year salary because he was nothing but a politician. He subsequently was replaced with a politician who has done nothing for his $2,000,000 + salary.
@John_Fanta Simple solution, but the majority of coaches need to agree on this. Stop taking guys in the portal. Return to recruiting high school players. Assure them that you will not over recruit them. Develop them. Do not give in to this rent a player. Over time, this madness stops.

@John_Fanta Stop paying them. Limit transfers to one time and they have to sit a year. Let NIL be for what was intended. If a star player has an opportunity to make money, let them. But paying recruits is not what was intended.
