Not in the book: Future two-time MVP Steve Nash @SteveNash was a pudgy little rookie who barely played his first year. We started Jason Kidd at the 1. kevin Johnson at the 2. And I played the 3. By the end of the year Stevie was playing more and more. We’re at home one night playing Bulls when Stevie checks into the game. Michael (Jordan) is at the FT-line. Steve walks up to him and asks MJ for his shoes after the game. I am livid. I walked up to Steve and said, “Don’t fkng do that. Shit like that gives him life.” We won the game. I playfully cussed Stevie out once again after the game in the locker room. Then we went for beers. But not before he stopped by the Bulls locker room to pick up MJ’s fkng shoes. simonandschuster.com/books/Its-Hard…

@RexChapman @SteveNash How about losing the first 13 games of the year (96-97) and finishing 40-42. What's up with that? And that game, if Nash rookie year, would have been 11-20-96, Bulls win 113-96 and Suns drop to 0-10.
@RexChapman @SteveNash Great story. Steve Nash was a helluva player. Great guy, too. Scouted him at Santa Clara. BB IQ was off the charts. Can't teach his feel for the game. It was innate. Proved the critics wrong every step of the way.
@RexChapman @AZSportsHistory @SteveNash I challenge any Suns fan (most of which showed up in 21), to name this team without using a search site! #ComingInHot
@RexChapman @SteveNash One of the most under rated PGs of all time. That dude could ball! I loved his pick n roll game
