Can I just use an old laptop offline as a signing device just like I do with a hardware wallet.

@btcqna @zherbert @FoundationHQ Ok so long as I could keep it bitcoin only is all that matters. So kinda like a phone where you can add different apps if you want to.

@zherbert @FoundationHQ Ok I just saw solana on picture so it’s its bitcoin only unless you choose to add an app for other stuff.

I feel for the people who lost funds but in my opinion they should have created their own entropy or just left it on the exchange. You must not trust but verify and the only way to verify is roll your own entropy. If you don’t roll your own using dice with something offline like @EntropyLabX then you must trust the device and all devices fail at some point. It says right on the packaging don’t trust verify. Couldn’t be any clearer than that.

@isabellasg3 I’m hopeful @COLDCARDwallet gets bigger and better and continues to build. If you never have failure you never learn . They will learn from this and get better.

Are these dice bouncing enough to be fair for entropy?

@brian_trollz @COLDCARDwallet I’m still using mine. I updated created a new seed and using it with nunchuk. I’m not worried at all it’s probably the safest wallet out after all of the eyes that were on the code.

I’m still going to use my @COLDCARDwallet firmware is fixed plus you roll dice and add your own entropy. And I still use my @SeedSigner also. I just can’t find anything else I like better than those two wallets. So I’m combining them with @BlockstreamJade so I can set up a multisig.
