@itsJulian23 @SaffronOlive yeah, it's true that there's tons of debates about useless drama, though they often seem more "huge" than they really are. The scenario described does sound nonsensical. However there's merit to outrage over deals being broken that's different from bluffing about hidden info

@Morihaus_FGC @itsJulian23 @SaffronOlive is there a good reason for this philosophy? Because it does sound a bit nonsensical to not be allowed to show information that is available to me (e.g. why would I not be able to reveal cards from my hand if I wanted to?)

@Mengu09 Depends on the city, lots of taxi companies lobbying for uber to be banned or priced up. Hamburg for sure has this problem and you're forced into regular taxis. As someone else suggested, use FreeNow

@itsJulian23 @SaffronOlive Now ofc you can view it as naive to assume opponent's wouldn't break deals. But players who make deals and stick to them will vastly outperfom players who play "no politics, no talking" style, so you're kind of "priced into" engaging with the prisoner's dilemma

@itsJulian23 @SaffronOlive And people get pissed about that, because it undermines that system of trust and that part of the range of possible "plays". And because it's someone selfishly cashing in their future (trust in upcoming games and ability to make future games) to cost you money right now.

@drewlevin @JortLover Online gaming has weird effects: I started on MWS and had played hundreds of standard matches before going to a store or touching a physical card. And I tried out pretty much all viable legacy decks before deciding my first paper deck should be the most expensive tier 1 deck 🤦‍♂️

@drewlevin @JortLover This was my first legacy and first paper magic deck and I worked on completing it over many months, spending my allowance on one dual a month (mb 40-50 bucks). Got it about 95% done, but never acquired the last 2 trops, that I kept borrowing for 1.5 years. <3 legacy community

@drewlevin @JortLover Local events could give out one dual to each top8er, a blue one to the winner and I managed to have my first tournament successes and build a collection with those finishes. Also sold of most of it a few years later, but it also financed my ability to travel and buy modern decks

@nachobrr Those sample decks.... There's probably some combo deck, but at the very least you can like Dwell on the Past, Reminisce and loop some library of only removal spells and counterspells infinitely with 1 wincon.
