@mtg_ds Also relevant is that there is a difference between a color having access to a keyword and being able to grant the keyword. We wouldn’t even do anger in green, even though green creatures can have haste.

Color pie time! Trample is an interesting keyword. It's primary in green and secondary in red, however the other colors can get it too if the creature is large enough. For some reason, black seems to be getting it more often. Post inspired by @mtg_ds !
@mtg_ds IIRC, Maro has said that any color can theoretically get trample at higher rarities as long as the creature looks like it could have trample lol
@mtg_ds @Sierkovitz Your work is fantastic, more people should look at it. It's one of the best format crash courses available.
We try to avoid making 2-color cards where the card could be done as a 1-color card in only 1 of the 2 colors. Given that, suppose you have a 2-color 2/1 creature with Haste and First Strike (no other abilities). What of the following color combos would be the best choice for it?
@mtg_ds This poll shows that most people indeed fail to understand the thing we were testing in the original question, as the answer is obviously black-red!
@mtg_ds Sooooo, Green gets dq'd for having both abilities firmly within its pie, and either white nor blue have any history with deathtouch.... my vote is for Rakdos (unless I don't get how this game works)
@mtg_ds Is this reference just not well known? Maro just did a DTW on the original. The clearly wrong trick answer is leading. I do wonder about secondary vs tertiary but feel comfortable with Rakdos.

@mtg_ds There's always a best colour, I speculate on it to aim high (listen to @Chord_O_Calls and @NO_MTG's set review!) I did 1 sealed and 2 drafts before release, where TftS and Desert's Due played better than expected. Miriam did too and GW had a chance of being the best deck.

@mtg_ds Funny that I picked *both* of the ones you ask about. Mounts at prerelease were great, the synergy there helps, and it's aggressive so the sorcery speed isn't as bad because it gets rid of a blocker.

@mtg_ds @Sierkovitz @JasonILTG I picked two green commons because the color just looked extremely flexible. Outcaster Greenblade and the green Armadillo looked so strong in the uncommon slot for fixing and midrange power that I figured green would see play in at least one top slot

@mtg_ds @Sierkovitz @JasonILTG I still think Slick Sequence is a super powerful card, but UR being the weakest deck is not helping my cause of picking it as the signpost uncommon. Stupid Gleaming Geardrake made me buy into the UR koolaid.
@mtg_ds Green just looked SO good. It basically had format all star or adjacent cards up and down the line. I picked 3 of the top 5 and had saddle 4th (would be in first if I took saddle instead of naturalist like I almost did…)
