New in #EHJCVP 💊SSRIs are commonly prescribed in patients with coronary artery disease, but what happens after PCI during dual antiplatelet therapy? 🫀 In this large real-world #TriNetX analysis of nearly 30,000 patients, concomitant SSRI use was associated with a higher risk of major bleeding🩸, without an increase in ischaemic events. The study benefits from a large international cohort and propensity-score matching, but its retrospective design leaves room for residual confounding, while prescription data cannot fully capture treatment adherence and persistence of all treatments or bleeding severity.
