@NathieVR Why!? VR is full of these tech demo-ey games already.

@mrpyo1 so many good VR games get thrashed just because it's not as good looking as normal games. and I'm not talking about the tech demo games like Power Wash Simulator or Beat Saber. I'm talking about Assassin's Creed Nexus and Asgard's Wrath 2, even those get called "bad graphics".

@TadashiEto Literally had someone unfriend me in VRC for getting a Quest and defending my choice. People don't like to admit that Facebook is pretty much the only company pushing mass market vr forward right now.

if you're playing VR, you'll get tired first before you get angry enough to break your controller if the game is too hard. Guess that's another advantage of VR.

@ASychov @jquave like the other guy said, who tf needs scuba goggles for productivity? Productivity is for making money, not wasting it. Using AVP for productivity is as inefficient as going to college and being in debt to learn Psychology.

@ASychov @jquave Who tf needs scuba goggles for “Productivity”— you have a PC or Laptop for that. AVP does less than those 2 options for 3x the price. VR is all for movie or gaming. No one is doing work by staring at a display that close to their eyes for 2-8 hours.

@Rengle820 @benz145 Specs overall AVP is better but what's the point if the content sucks? Quest wins because of content, AVP doesn't have Asgard's Wrath 2, Assassin's Creed Nexus etc. other than games, all the content can be done on Quest. AVP doesn't even have WebXR.

@Frostjammers @OrdinaryGamers this reminds me of AI for some reason. The AI technology itself doesn't steal from other artists but most people that use it do.

@Lunnzies @Lunayian It's not going to catch up to anything if devs don't want to invest in developing for it bc the audience is so small, and the audience is going to stay so small bc no devs want to develop for it. The better tech is meaningless if there is nothing to do with it

@TheLewdMan52 @dimensionalfox @Thrilluwu not only are you exaggerating (Asgard's Wrath 2 looks better than Legendary Tales), most people also don't care about graphics. VR Chat looks like crap no matter what Headset you use and people still love it but it's one of the most popular VR Games.

I don’t get why people compare Meta and Apple with the blackberry vs Iphone. One was a product that failed to innovate / pivot. This would be a relevant comparison if meta was stuck on the Rift with wired hmd’s and controller input only.

No one is stopping other companies from going standalone. They can do it too, they just don't want to. That's not Meta's fault.

@josethevrtech @arian_ghashghai to be fair, there are a lot of AVP fanboys spreading misinformation acting like what AVP does is something new. Maybe this is damage control.
