NCCEH is proud to announce their partnership with State Employees' Credit Union! We recently received a $40,000 grant from their foundation to be used for capacity building specifically focusing on data strategic planning, fundraising, and marketing.
In April, the Supreme Court will hear the most important case about homelessness in 40 years. Johnson v Grants Pass is a landmark case concerning homelessness criminalization and the rights of people experiencing homelessness.

HUD is also making it easier for PHAs to readjust the payment standard for families already using a voucher to rent a home. This would allow families to stay in the same home without paying more in rent even if a landlord increases rent based on higher market prices.

Earlier today, tenants at Braswell Properties in Durham asked their landlord for time and reimbursement after having their lives uprooted during the holidays. The owner sold the property and gave the residents a 30-day notice Nov 30; they have to be out by Dec 31.
