Based on data from my paper in @sportsbiomechj for every 26.27 N.s increase in CMJ net impulse, a golfer should increase their CHS by 3.91 mph (that’s ~10-12 yards). You can easily track impulse using @MyJumpLab and a set of scales. Why guess (with FMS) when you can assess.

Useful test for runners. Reactive strength is an important quality to be aware of for runners. Being able to transition from an eccentric to concentric contraction rapidly is in line with what happens during a running foot contact. Being above 2 is a good target for me 🎯
Interesting speed session I’m training pretty hard for a half marathon on Feb 4th, so fatigued. Yesterday was a rest day though. I didn’t think today would be good, but hit 116mph 2x while warming up with the 195g which is really good for me. I’d usually be a couple mph faster…
Better today. PS - I highly recommend tracking your jump height with the @MyJumpLab app It’s a good indicator of lower body power, and a decent way to measure fatigue I’m looking forward to getting the other side of the half marathon and trying to break 50cm & 120mph Stack.
You don’t need expensive equipment such as force plates or isokinetic machines to properly test and assess athletes. . All 5 of the strength qualities in this paper can be assessed using an inline or handheld dynamometer and the @MyJumpLab

Fit For Golf App 2.0 - Mass Program Phase 2 Workout A Week 6 / 12 Main exercises: Full ROM squat: 8 sets x 4 reps, 210lbs Bench Press 8 sets x 4 reps, 172.5lbs Hit my best countermovement jump on the @MyJumpLab too. Good metric to track. Loving the Mass program.
