The Chargers stay at 5 and take Joe Alt and I think will come to regret passing up on Malik Nabers or even Rome Odunze. If they wanted an OT they should have traded back imo. Wide receiver was the bigger need and both of those guys were better prospects to me than Alt.
@johnwalters_sd @Montegaard I agree...Nobody. To suggest a team will run it 90% of the time is ridiculous. Michigan ran it an absurd 61% last year and still won. Harbaugh's 49ers NFC Champs ran it 53% in 2012
For some reason, nobody seems to even mention that drafting Malik Nabers helps the Chargers o-line. Herbert hasn't had an explosive WR like Nabers who can get open quickly so he can get the ball out quickly. The o-line has been asked to block for extended periods of time…
@Montegaard @mattmoneysmith Exactly. I want to see the Chargers improve in the run but they HAVE to address WR early. That WR room is bad. Seems more and more likely its OL at 5 but we will see soon.
I feel in my bones that if the #Chargers stay at 5, they select one of the WRs. If they trade back, it’s almost a certainty that they’re picking an OT.
