Have written a lot on this topic. If the NCAA changes its stance on CHL players through a vote by the coaches (unlikely) or if it's forced through the courts, the change will be that CHL players are ALL eligible as soon as they can enroll. Not "after their CHL careers are done."
Have written a lot on this topic. If the NCAA changes its stance on CHL players through a vote by the coaches (unlikely) or if it's forced through the courts, the change will be that CHL players are ALL eligible as soon as they can enroll. Not "after their CHL careers are done."
The CHL, in planning for this, wants to keep players through their 19-year-old season. There won't be any working agreement between the CHL and NCAA. From an NCAA perspective, if a change happens, those players will just be eligible the same way USHL players are eligible.
It will be up to the CHL to figure out how to keep players.
