Wow what a historical day for Danish #slt oriented research in neurogenic communication disabilities. NeuKom is a new cross institutional research group aiming at influencing and being influenced by clinical work benefitting ppl. w. neurogenic communication disabilities.
I’m at A&E and the triage nurse is Irish. My partner asks if I recognise him as we’re probably related…💀 I curtly explain that not every irish person knows each-other 🙃 Anyway, turns out I’m wrong and the nurse is, of course, well acquainted with my family in Tipperary 🤡
Congratulations to all the team on this significant research grant. I hope in 5-10 years time, no person with #aphasia and their family say they were ignored/talked down to/not understood/ not provided with aphasia friendly information while in the care of health professionals.
