@maya_ramakr Oh I would need to compare with a chest strap and I haven't done that. From experience, the built in HR correlates very well to exertion level and it always seems pretty reasonable, I trust the reading to be within ~5% most of the time with some delay.

@maya_ramakr Occasionally for running, more for hiking, cycling, and skiing, I really like my Garmin Fenix 5x as the battery last several days and it just works. Built in GPS map just in case. HR sensor is good enough. Can probably do better on price and features for just running tho

@maya_ramakr You can get a smoke forecast map from rapidrefresh.noaa.gov/hrrr/HRRRsmoke… and clicking near surface smoke but I recall it not being overly reliable last year as smoke is even more difficult to predict than weather. Best bet might be looking for trip reports the night before.
