@sdamico Must be ESP for ESPionage.
Espressif been playing the long game here in plain sight. These things are in EVERYTHING! Anova uses them. How 'bout Impulse? How deep does the ESP32ionage go?

@POLITICOEurope Hilarious that “for sovereignty” the EU picked software made outside the EU.
Also telling that the quoted anonymous official used the term Microslop.
Obviously an unserious organization only interested in posturing.
@_memorytapes@TheStalwart I suppose that depends on the particularities of the contract. Usually people don’t pay for things that their supplier can’t deliver.
Either way though, this headline is clearly misleading and not backed up by the content of the story.
@clashreport@grok is there a reasonable set of facts to back up Mark Carney’s claim here that France and Canada should be included in a list of countries at the forefront of AI? If so, what facts?
@Austin_Way Is there any provision for students actively engaging the answers? I often use AI to learn things way beyond my knowledge and it gives answers I don't fully understand.
But then it has extreme patience and creativity to try different things when I say I don't understand...
@wholemars Feels like there’s a risk here of recreating the auto dealership model that abused customers for so long until Tesla came along and killed it. Central company invites distributed businesses to take on capital and operational risk, and they become a mafia.
@CJHandmer Agree that corporate hubris about being immune to disruption is often hilariously wrong.
But has Starlink pitched technology to handle bandwidth demands in dense areas? Like micro-geo patches or something?
5g cells are geo-local because airwaves share bandwidth.
@10_X_eng As I spend a tiny fraction of my monthly budget on the tools and supplies to build incredible things, I think about the millions of people around the world with this same access and it makes me so stoked for the next decade!
@wholemars It's hard to believe they captured the cat one with a Tesla stopping and a Waymo blowing past. After Waymo's KitKat incident, it's just about a perfect PR piece for Tesla.
I got into programming because it was an abstract lever on the world. All this computational automation feels like the same lever, just bigger. It's enthralling!
@KitchenTblProj Can you guys provide the survey questions and data for folks to take a look at? Especially interesting to see that healthcare was by far the biggest jump.
my politics are whatever:
*prevents big corporations from lobbying for regulations ('safety') that conveniently also make it harder for smaller competitors to enter their field and drive down profit margins
*prevents established instutitions (doctors, educators) from pushing for regulations ('safety') that conveniently make it harder for new professionals to enter their fields and drive down upper-class salaries
*prevents established homeowners from voting for regulations (e.g. 'environment') that conveniently make it hard for new housing to get built and drive down housing costs
