Going out on a risky limb here - but the very last thing Kate and Wills and THEIR CHILDREN need to see right now is a sea of flowers outside their house. It’s performative, it’s for you not them. Donate the money to one of her causes. Send her a light hearted card…
Windsor can handle them and will be polite about them (there is a flowers protocol)
@LucyGoBag When I was diagnosed, we had so many bouquets delivered that I couldn’t face going downstairs. It felt like walking into my own wake. We’ve decided to never deliver flowers to a sick person ever again and it was my go to gift before.
@LucyGoBag Or maybe send a light hearted card to the thousands of people on the NHS waiting list to get life saving Cancer treatment ! Or perhaps condolences cards for those that could not survive the waiting lists and have died as a result !
@LucyGoBag It’s also a highly triggering reminder of the death of William’s mother
@LucyGoBag I remember seeing the flowers outside the gates back in 1997 and feeling very disconnected from it all. The stench of flowers rotting in plastic was just awful. It all seemed so wasteful.
@LucyGoBag Completely agree - the best thing people can do to express support is to donate to cancer charities I’d like to think HRH would be delighted if her illness led to a huge upsurge in donations helping to lead to a cure.
@LucyGoBag They're also not *at* the house - and have said they wont return for school break, so 100% agree - if so inclined, forward the £€$s to a cause in their name 🩷🌻 a beautiful gesture
