What are we calling here? 🤔 Ref staring right at the feet so it was obviously let go 🤷 Left foot might be in the air early? It’s pretty close? Maybe this is allowed now?
@Hennen_Workouts This never used to be allowed. But I can't remember the last time I saw it called at any level. It drives me bonkers because the majority of players use it as a crutch. It is a rare player who can catch the ball with their feet set and immediately shoot
@Liversmore @Hennen_Workouts Pure shooters can do it. Love to see it.
@Liversmore @Hennen_Workouts I’m beyond confused by rule now. Catch the ball in transition and get 2 steps plus catch step. Catch the ball on perimeter, and you have to dribble?
@Liversmore @Hennen_Workouts She could take a quick dribble, don’t know why she doesn’t.
@Liversmore @Hennen_Workouts I can not watch the pro game with all the traveling. And, what happened that carrying the ball is completely ignored now?
@Liversmore @Hennen_Workouts I wish I could say the same. I've watched and coached way too many games where this gets called It's a timing issue
@Liversmore @Hennen_Workouts This is not true. She took two steps, you get two steps to take a shot or pass the ball. I am not a Caitlan Clark fan, but I coach girls basketball & have been through enough clinics and issues with the officials to know what they're looking for & this was never traveling
@Liversmore @Hennen_Workouts The last time I was able to play - before I ripped my ankle & required reconstructive surgery - & we're talking mid 90's here, this was a non-issue. Good try, though!😏 Two feet in the air at the time of the catch means she's still got the chance for her gather with 2 feet.
@Liversmore @Hennen_Workouts It’s a 1-2 step. Been legal for as long as I can recall (over 30 years)
