When I practiced Criminal Law, I would tell my clients, "I don't want to know what you did, I want to know what the police are going to tell me you did". Much better that way. @BowTiedKong
I use this order for a few reasons: -cases are usually won on the states version of facts 2- client going after police version but before police report has some built-in client credibility checks.

The biglaw lawyers are biglawing again. Incredible hubris to believe that lawyers outside of biglaw firms are country bumpkins who couldn’t write a brief in opposition to save their life.
There are arguments on both sides for ghost-written briefs in opposition, but, like, does anyone think the Justices are fooled into thinking that a New York consumer fraud attorney in a two-person law firm wrote this?

@smmarotta Having had my own briefs questioned on this basis in the past for almost this exact same reason? Yeah I think it’s possible someone from a firm you find inferior can educate themselves and write a brief you find compelling.
If you are ever arrested, the two biggest things you can do to help yourself: 1. Be polite and reasonable with the officer. If he responds by acting like a jerk, that just helps you more when a jury looks at the video. 2. Politely decline to answer questions.
