@carygolomb That's an open platform where Microsoft is going to have to make money on the hardware since it can't rely on the revenue from a closed system. That means it will be expensive. More than likely MS hands it off to OEMs

@carygolomb Adds value, sure, but one of the primary things people find appealing about consoles is the price. Add Steam and it doesn't make sense to subsidize Xbox which means the price is going to be very high.

@JoelJ_Garcia Valve didn't do any of that. Steam gave PC gamers a choice and they took it without being forced by anyone. Drives are still available today. How would Valve have forced PC makers to remove shit from PCs they had no control over?
