When I was a CMT1 I was in a godawful post where I ended up driving to a lake to drown myself after work one late night after finishing. The Trust's Occupational Health sole suggestion was that I talk to my non existent supervisor "if I was struggling".

Doctors should know that @theHWF do amazing work, as do @DoctorsDistress, @LhFoundation and other brilliant charities. But Practitioner Health was the bedrock of support for struggling staff and there is simply not the capacity to do without it.

Pleased to say I successfully defended my PhD thesis on placental and early brain development in congenital heart disease yesterday. A privilege to be examined by Prof. @ela_chak and Prof. McQuillen, with some very thought-provoking discussions. Now, on to the next challenge!

Update: @NHSEngland has overturned its decision to restrict the provision of @NHSPracHealth for secondary care staff. This will now be extended by 12 months, for both new and existing patients. We welcome this announcement and will continue to highlight the importance of staff…

When I was a CMT1 I was in a godawful post where I ended up driving to a lake to drown myself after work one late night after finishing. The Trust's Occupational Health sole suggestion was that I talk to my non existent supervisor "if I was struggling".

Doctors should know that @theHWF do amazing work, as do @DoctorsDistress, @LhFoundation and other brilliant charities. But Practitioner Health was the bedrock of support for struggling staff and there is simply not the capacity to do without it.

@DrLindaDykes @KaanthanJ @rcpsych I think the video was initiated by HEE but can’t be certain, I can’t find the original. I can only speak for RCPsych but there was no financial incentive to back PAs. You can say that all of us who did were wrong if that is your opinion but not that we were bought.
