A piece of advice to college athletes in all sports: DO NOT PAY 20 PERCENT TO AGENTS. AGAIN: DO NOT PAY 20 PERCENT. One reputable agent just told me he charges anywhere from 5 to 10 percent. "Whoever is charging 20 percent, it's predatory."
@GoodmanHoops 20% on collective agreements is predatory, which is what you’re referring to. 20% is industry standard on “true NIL” deals secured by agents.
@Josh_Delander @GoodmanHoops There’s no “industry standard” yet for this. In 20% by an agent is outrageous weather it’s sports, acting, singing, etc. Demand 10% & if they reject that move on. You want someone who plans on making money with you for awhile not just a big slice of your first real check.
@Josh_Delander @GoodmanHoops "industry standard" is hilarious phrase for the brand new hush hush wild west of college NIL
@Josh_Delander @GoodmanHoops He needs to clarify that or he will confuse a lot of people.
@Josh_Delander @GoodmanHoops Nah… you are just crooked as hell… find a real job
@Josh_Delander @GoodmanHoops That’s a hilariously high commission.
@Josh_Delander @GoodmanHoops How much for FAKE NIL deals which most of them are.
@Josh_Delander @GoodmanHoops This is true across digital for the most part. 15% to 20% is the range you’ll most commonly see.
