I’m old enough to remember a healthy contingent of Pacers fans on this stupid app cheering the fact Haliburton made the All-Star game during a lost season when the team should have otherwise been tanking harder for Wemby. Instead they got Jerace Walker.
Remember: It ain’t the despair that gets you, it’s the hope.
Who am I kidding, the NBA will never allow nice things to happen to the Pacers. They had a one-year window to win it all, and Hali’s achilles turned to spaghetti at the most crucial moment. Now it’s Wemby’s league; and Walker has yet to play a meaningful minute of NBA ball.
