The only player in Major League history to win the World Series MVP from a losing team is Bobby Richardson of the 1960 New York Yankees. Clemente with Berra, `60
@Jimfrombaseball Yes. And the only players to win it more than once are Koufax, Gibson, Jackson and Seager. Only Jackson and Seager won it for two different teams and only Seager won it in both leagues.
@Jimfrombaseball The only player on a losing team to win Super Bowl MVP was Chuck Howley
@Jimfrombaseball Bobby Richardson, racked up great numbers in that series but it seems kind of crazy to give the award to a member of the losing team. Maybe Bill Maseroski should have gotten the award. Saying that as a broken hearted little boy who was a big Yankee fan at the time.
@Jimfrombaseball Yes he had 12 RBIs I believe. Too bad the yankees used a lot of those in the games they routed the Pirates which were the 3 they one.
@Jimfrombaseball Bobby had a pretty good Series in 1960. Not sure he could have done much more.
@Jimfrombaseball No offense to Richardson, but that was an early example of new york bias.
@Jimfrombaseball Never vote until the series is over. Obviously Maz got screwed.
