Critiquing the mental health system, psychiatric medication, etc. doesn’t mean we don’t want folks to receive care. It means we want folks to receive good care. Culturally + trauma-responsive care that centers informed consent. Care that we don’t need extra support to heal from.

"Trauma recovery" is something that takes just as much time as the trauma that occurred took (if not a lot more.) And even then, the expectation that you can just "fix" a person like they're a broken machine is a faulty concept. People aren't machines.
