The new message focuses solely on law enforcement patrols in the maritime areas under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China, urging the PCG not to interfere with their operations and to maintain a safe distance from CCG-5303. I am curious as to why they have chosen to omit their previous claims of indisputable sovereignty in today's radio challenge. 🤔

August 4, 2025: Video statement on the House Motion for Reconsideration filed before the Supreme Court (G.R. No. 278353 – Impeachment of the Vice President) With full respect for the Constitution, in defense of institutional balance, and in the name of the Filipino people, the House of Representatives has filed a Motion for Reconsideration before the Supreme Court. This is not an act of defiance. It is an act of duty. We do not challenge the authority of the Court. We seek only to preserve the rightful role of the House - the voice of the people - in the process of accountability. Let us be clear: The Constitution says: “The House of Representatives shall have the exclusive power to initiate all cases of impeachment.” That power is not shared. Not subject to pre-approval. And not conditional. Yet in G.R. No. 278353, the Supreme Court ruled otherwise - based on a misreading of facts and a retroactive imposition of new rules. On February 5, 2025, the House transmitted the fourth impeachment complaint - filed and signed by 215 Members - to the Senate. Only after this transmittal did we archive the earlier three complaints. That sequence matters. It proves there was only one valid initiation, not four. Even the Court’s own precedent - Francisco v. House - supports this: Only one impeachment can be initiated, and that initiation begins with a one-third endorsement or a referral. That is exactly what the House did. The Court also said the Vice President was denied due process because she was not furnished a copy or given a chance to respond. But nowhere in the Constitution is that required before transmittal. In fact, in all past impeachments, the trial - and the right to be heard - take place in the Senate. To invent new rules now, and apply them retroactively, is not just unfair. It is constitutionally suspect. Let me say this with candor: A government of laws cannot allow any branch to become the judge of its own accountability. The Supreme Court is a co-equal branch of government. Its wisdom is deep. Its authority is real. But its Members - like the President and the Vice President - are also impeachable officers. When the Court lays down rules for how it, or others like it, may be impeached, it puts itself in the dangerous position of writing conditions that may shield itself from future accountability. That is not how checks and balances work. We filed this Motion for Reconsideration not to provoke, but to protect. Not to assert supremacy, but to restore balance. Because if impeachments can be blocked by misunderstood facts, or rules made after the fact, then accountability is not upheld - it is denied. To dissent is not to defy. To demand accountability is not to destabilize. To insist on constitutional integrity is not to weaken democracy - it is to strengthen it. If there’s nothing to hide, there’s nothing to fear--- PBBM and Speaker Martin Romualez are in favor of a more transparent budget process The President said in his State of the Nation Address that he will not sign a General Appropriations Act not in line with the National Expenditures Program —- even if it means a reenacted budget. I have been hearing rumors about how some senators held the budget hostage saying without their insertions —- they will not approve the budget. I cannot write about this before since I always make sure to cite sources and I cannot guarantee it to be factual. But I guess recent leaked photos and several reports with the details of insertions would very much convince the public and me of its authenticity. It doesn’t help that there’s no denial of fact from the man in question despite his several media briefings. But what concerns me is the silence of Duterte allies and supporters with this issue —- I guess, the Senate President is really an ally of the Vice President. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Martin Romualdez has been on the receiving end of all the attacks regarding the 2025 General Appropriations Bill — despite not being a member of the bicameral conference committee, despite not having anything to support the accusation. I think he already had enough of all these accusations —- to show that he has nothing to do with the budget issues and concerns, he opened the budget process to all of us! He even filed a resolution allowing civil society groups and watchdogs to audit/ participate in the budget process! I hope Cielo Magno participates, to end all her doubts and raise her questions right then and there. If it’s only up to the leader of the House of Representatives? The bicam will also be open to the public! Can someone please tell me what’s the position of the Senate President regarding this? 🤦🏽‍♀️

Abante in several media interviews that Martin Romualdez made sure that there are funds allocated for San Juanico bridge, she cited actual amounts: “P27M noong 2018, P22M noong 2019, P105M noong 2021, P90M noong 2022, P150M noong 2023, at may proposal na P400M para sa 2026.” But as Atty. Clarie Castro mentioned in the video attached below, it was only during the time of President Bongbong Marcos Jr., that the bridge was inspected. When the President went to Tacloban with the House Speaker Romualdez and Senior Deputy Majority Leader Sandro Marcos… he hinted that the previous administration neglected the maintenance of the bridge. Well, Imee Marcos sure knows how to point fingers but not willing to do the work. Both President Bongbong Marcos Jr and House Speaker Martin Romualdez are already working to address the problem, as both recognize the vital role of the bridge for the economy of Samar and Leyte. Romauldez and Acidre coordinated with public and private sectors to come up with alternative routes by sea while the repair is on-going. The President also set an ultimatum, he wants the San Juanico bridge rehab done by December. And no, we don’t want Imee Marcos as the next President. She’s just another Sara Duterte lapdog for reasons I really don’t know. Lols
