@HammerCann @Not_the_Bee Believe me if the East Palestine derailment didn’t happen you would not have heard of the others. I was on a 27 car ethanol derailment lasting 4 days. 1st day multiple cars on fire and 10’s of thousands of gallons spilled into a small river. Never made the news.
@HammerCann @Not_the_Bee Every train carries some level of hazardous materials. The ones I dealt with were mostly oil and ethanol. It’s really the luck of the draw as to which cars derail.
@HammerCann @Not_the_Bee So the time it takes to clear a derailment depends on how the cars came off the tracks. Typically it take 1 hour/car if it has their wheel under them. I they are loaded and on their side it’s 3hrs/car.
