@HailOrcusdorkus One of my first absolute shocks in 5e is how they don't want you to make new classes. They overbalanced it around classes, everything else is flavor. When have you heard of an RPG where you don't homebrew classes? That's the first thing you do!
@HailOrcusdorkus @Chaosium_Inc Yeah. The actual problem is "classes".
@HailOrcusdorkus I like classes in AD&D. But I also like clasless in games like Vampire The Masquerade.
@HailOrcusdorkus Basic Role-playing is da' bomb! It should be on the hobby's fine-cutting-edge. I wish more people knew about it.
@HailOrcusdorkus I’ve had this idea that everyone starts at a similar place, and as they level they take the character down different paths, based on what they want to play. Might be complicated to solve practically.
@HailOrcusdorkus *FEWER* classes, for Crom's sake! And while I am in rant mode, it is pronounced "Coo de GRASS". A coo-de-grah is a 'soft blow', presumably delivered by The Spanish Inquisition using Soft Pillows (albeit with all the stuffing in the pointy bit).
@HailOrcusdorkus Hero System has no classes. You make up what you want using points to buy skills and powers.
@HailOrcusdorkus Lmfao keep watering down the most boring system out...yaaa PF 2E is blatently better and isnt constantly watering shit down for tourists.
