Was a Sgt. in the 82nd Airborne + spent 34 years in law enforcement (ending his career as a chief of police). He doesn’t have a degree, so is not qualified for the job? What a joke.

@HD_DirtKing An honorary degree would take care of that!
@HD_DirtKing Sounds like he was doing much more important things then taking classes
@HD_DirtKing I understand the need for degree. However, work a deal out with the guy.See if you can get professional credit for all his years of service in-law enforcement and the Army.Or see if he can get his degree within so many years while on the job
@HD_DirtKing @CoachK_Nguyen Didn’t you know you needed a degree in order to be a great coach?? What a joke !!! Great job Coach Hastings !! Hopefully somebody will wake up from their coma and reconsider their decision.
@HD_DirtKing Higher Ed gonna go and Higher Ed….such a joke…he’s coaching basketball not advanced physics
@HD_DirtKing Typical, short sighted take from an educational institution. Every industry has qualifiers, but when you find good people with proven success you would think the higher ups would look to a solution rather than palms up. Lack of creativity is the standard in these athletic depts.
@HD_DirtKing Discrimination against the non-degree is very real
