@ricktelander Is there a FanDuel Bowl yet, or DraftKings? In the other vices division, there used to be the Bacardi Bowl in Havana. The 1937 Bacardi between Auburn and Villanova was the 1st game between 2 U.S. colleges on foreign soil.

@falatoradio @CubWin @Cubs Cubs' Bob Hendley pitched a 1-hitter. Only 2 runners in the game, both Lou Johnson, walk and a hit. Scored after walk, sacrifice bunt, stole third and came home when catcher Chris Krug sailed a throw over Santo's head on the steal. Family vacation time, I listened on radio.

@LosAngelesCRG ... Nothing in a betting pattern changes the house edge. The house ultimately will collect it's 2.44%. And since you're betting more with increasing wagers, the average loss is larger than if you bet flat at your starting wager.

@LosAngelesCRG ... Also, once a streak is in progress, the odds against it reaching 5 in a row drop. If you've lost once, the chances of losing 4 more to hit five drop to 1 in 81. With 2 losses, there's 1 in 27 of 3 more. With 3, it's 1 in 9 of 2 more, and with 4, it's 1 in 3 of one more.

@falatoradio @Cubs @baseballhall @EddieBarstool @jodonnell17 SABR folk backed Ronnie for HOF from the start. Santo's prime coincided with the largest strike zone in history and a decline in offense. His productivity in that era made him all the more valuable. Bill James in '94 ranked Brooks as 7th best 3B of all time, Santo 6th.
