If you’re betting McLaughlin and O’Ward, I like them both down to +700 to win, +200 T3. Just in case you’re limited or can only bet on certain books, I’ll try to include the “Fair Price” my model has.
Added a bunch of bets today, make sure you find some you like! Heavy on McLaughlin/O'Ward. My 2 fav outrights at current prices. Another day, another fade of Palou 😬 Lots of good longer shot groups/matchups. Playing into the chaos again today, similar to Detroit last week.
@jgriner9 Yeah definitely feel better about it now than I would have at the beginning of the year. If you can stay on the lead lap, you have a good shot at a T10.
Gateway is a tough track to handicap. The fastest cars usually separate themselves, especially if the outside lane is viable. With it being a short oval, only about half the field typically finishes on the lead lap.
Because of @GridRival's changes, I'm going to start playing more on @PrizePicks. Here are my favorite plays there, and my projection in parenthesis: Kirkwood o5.5 (9.5) Palou o2.5 (5.5) Malukas o2.5 (4.5) Rossi o9.5 (11.5) Rahal o14.5 (16.5)
Lots of good values in fantasy. O'Ward/Newgarden are top contenders to win. Power/Rasmussen are great overtake/improvement point opportunities. You can also fill your lineup in with some other short oval specialists (Malukas, McLaughlin, Ferrucci).
@jgriner9 I’m well invested in McLaughlin/Pato too. Only ones I show value in. I’ll have to see it to believe it with RLL. They’ve been SO bad here since the hybrid. Haven’t had anyone finish on the lead lap in 3 years, and only once has finished within 1 of the lead lap.
That said, strategy, pit stops, and luck play a huge role here. Pit timing & clean stops are often just as important as outright speed. Even the fastest cars can get trapped a lap down by a poorly timed yellow. Probably won’t go too heavy this week, but final card coming soon!
Adding McLaughlin>Rasmussen -140 I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I’m fully fading Ras this weekend. At least until after quals. Finished P1/P2/Quals last year 25/19/25. ECR avg. qual at Gateway: 19.4 (13/14 tracks) Never had a car qualify T10 here in the hybrid era.
@PolymarketSport Am I the only one that notices the market is “Who wins the NBA Championship?” If that’s right, this is an incredibly dumb bet before/during/or after Game 1. It’s important to always read what market you’re betting on!

@PKLETSGORACING Not at his current price. ECR avg. starting position here 19.4, their 2nd worst on schedule. Ras started 25th last year. If you like him, I’d wait until after quals. His price should almost definitely drop.
Saw a Pato +900 I missed out on. Will want to add him at some point but will wait for more books to post. Think it comes down to him or the 3 Penskes. All super strong on ovals in great equipment.
@PKLETSGORACING @bet365 @DKSports Been kind of a mixed bag this year. A lot of teams have put extra resources into pit crews. In general, the bigger teams have the bets pit crews (Penske, Ganassi, McLaren). Andretti has been notably poor.
