@thomson_ai25900 @scotball_ There’s a misconception that runs deep through football. Many coaches/fans/pundits believe their playing identity changes when they change formation. From a 4-4-2 to a 4-1-4-1, from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3 etc. As if the formation were the core of how a team plays.

Haiti v Scotland: Pre-Match Analysis Scotland are BACK BABYYYYYYYY but they cannot underestimate Haiti, they have real quality at the top-end of the pitch. Haiti will likely be in a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1(1 CF Dropping): > Wide Play, 1v1 & Overlaps to Cross > Quick Transition Play > Deep Block & Counter with Pace > Can Be Exploited on Counter > Weak Defending Crosses Scotland will likely stick with the friendly 4-4-2: > Crosses from Wide Areas > Robertson Overlapping & Doak 1v1 > Mid-Block to Protect Centre > Struggle Defensively in Transition 2v2 I feel like a Back-5 "Out of Possession" for Scotland would minimize Haiti's real threat, both teams will fancy being able to get at one another and that leaves for an exciting game. Amadou Ba-Sy could be a problem in the Scottish Premiership next season. Tall, powerful and quick, he really reminds me of Abdallah Sima in that sometimes it’s clumsy, sometimes it’s brilliant. Will definitely be a nuisance for defenders though.
