The amount of times ive had to heatbutt Qantas ground staff around exceptions to the "no through checking baggage on separate tickets" is just crazy... MEL-CGK QF in Redemption J and then onwards to JFK via DOH on a cash return ticket on QR in J (Steal at $2,950 AUD RT) took around 15 minutes and 4 people before the tags were printed and sent off.

(SIN-DEL-LHR) Rule 7: Carrier is allowed to transport from a foreign country to another foreign country (not originating or terminating in a home country) (LHR-JFK) Rule 8: Carrier is allowed to transport from their home country to a foreign country with an additional stop in the foreign country. (Ie. BOM-MEL-SYD) Rule 9: Carrier is allowed to transport domestically in a foreign country. (Ie. MEL-SYD)

@OfficialEoin @_colourmeamused To my knowledge Hobart does have a very small core permanent team that also handles maritime processing and more multi purpose overall. And during the Antarctic, Cathay charter ops and seasonal aviation operations to NZ they do offer secondments to ABF staff at other ports.

If someone is given Chairman’s Lounge, they are entitled to “gift” a 2 year additional CL membership to a family or friend, just like how if you are Platinum One you can gift Platinum to a family or friend. Most give it to their spouse but in some cases they gift it to their kids.

@louis20016 Pretty much the standard for most expat oriented carriers when it comes to cabin crew and in some cases flight deck crew albeit haven’t heard the -3.00 Dioptre limit before.
