I keep getting advice from SEOs to "look at the pages with the biggest drops" and figure out why they dropped. If we were hit by HCU then the sitewide signal has made ALL pages drop, making it difficult to analyze helpful vs. unhelpful. Any advice? @searchliaison
People have been asking if any of the websites affected by the HCU have seen significant recoveries, so I ran the data with 130 websites that were hit the hardest. 129 out of 130 have only seen visibility DECLINE since the HCU. Only one saw positive growth of 3%, heh. (1/3)

Pretty hard to explain to clients what's going on with their SEO these days when the SERPs are rapidly and exponentially being taken over by dangerous, illegal content. I can't share what I am seeing or I'm pretty sure my account would be suspended or worse. It's not good.

We found a bug with how our Oct. 2023 core update was applied to Discover, which has now been corrected. Some sites may see an increase in Discover-related traffic, as a result. Start and end time for this issue is now on the Search Status Dashboard: status.search.google.com/incidents/fCUA…
