@FionaSmall The current Irish constitution includes ""The State acknowledges that the homage of public worship is due to Almighty God. It shall hold His Name in reverence, and shall respect and honour religion." So they should pump the brakes on the rationalism.
@FionaSmall @akrii_p To be fair one advantage is at least all the pomp and splendour for the external world is handled by the Palace so political leaders dont behave or live like kings. India has that problem in spades right down to the basic state level MLA and bureaucrat.
