Really enjoyed the translation notes special feature on the @thirdwindow School in the Crosshairs blu-ray, was great getting a bit of context on the time period and production, and insight into the translation process. Shame it's not a more common feature!

The @AllTheAnime summer mystery box is good value but I would avoid it if you previously bought the winter mystery boxes, 3 of the blu rays I got were ones I already had from earlier mystery boxes :(

@FilmPositivity Verhoeven, I haven't seen any of his early Dutch films, but I also haven't seen Showgirls or anything after Hollow Man. He's an interesting director, if anything, so I might try to tackle his other stuff at some point. I think I saw Benedetta just hit Hulu.

Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) ★★★★ A group of cops, prisoners, and civilians trapped in an abandoned precinct fend off a horde of gang members. #JohnCarpenter takes a simple premise and makes the most out of it with tight direction, great characters and solid tension.
