BREAKING: Coeur d'Alene's mayor says the UC-Irvine basketball team also was on the receiving end of these racial slurs. We already knew it happened to University of Utah. Sounds like it happened to both teams and both teams changed hotels/moved to Spokane.
@MelissaKXLY4 The only way anything changes is NCAA removes Spokane from host sites
@FakeDougClark @MelissaKXLY4 Leave Spokane out of this. It’s Idaho that’s the problem
@FakeDougClark @MelissaKXLY4 Or go to neutral sites. Gonzaga earned the right to host under the current format.
@FakeDougClark @MelissaKXLY4 It should be in Seattle anyway. Nothing to see in Spokane.
@FakeDougClark @MelissaKXLY4 CDA is a 40 min drive from Spokane and their Arena Isn’t that a disadvantage in itself. Spokane has 5000 hotel rooms and numerous right next to the venue. Uncertain why teams are staying in Idaho? 🤔 No excuse for the behavior yet very confused at their hotel location
@FakeDougClark @MelissaKXLY4 Too much out of town traffic in Spokane..The NCAA tournament with 8 teams, plus a Volleyball tournament plus GU women hosting 3 other teams forced some traffic to Coeur d'Alene. The NCAA tournament has never had an issue in Spokane and it has been here numerous times.
