This is important. They knew they were in trouble. Sent out a mayday. Bridge was closed quickly saving dozens of lives. Notice how the traffic disappears before they strike the pylon. Truly excellent work by the bridge authority workers to save lives.

@FPWellman @sumpeoplelikeit No the WORKERS are heroes. The bridge authority & the state of Maryland and their piss poor maintenance are at fault. Bridges in San Francisco have ALL had similar accidents. So have both Mackinac and ambassador bridges in Michigan. You see any of them collapse?
@FPWellman Nope not again shirt available here 💙💙⚖️⚖️ anyimage.io/z6sx9f
@FPWellman I am actually quite impressed, but very sad that that the construction workers didn't get off in time.
@FPWellman I was wondering why it appeared that traffic let up just before the bridge collapsed. Kudos to the people who reacted so quickly.
@FPWellman Watching the last vehicle cross right before the collapse left my heart pounding. I cannot think of what was going thru their minds when they looked in their rearview mirror.
@FPWellman It’s the best possible outcome to this horrible tragedy. Wow.
@FPWellman So much for MTG's doctored propaganda video. 🙄
@FPWellman A construction crew was repairing pavement potholes during the collision and were reported missing after the collapse. Have they been found?
@FPWellman Watching those last two cars zip across the bridge just before the ship hits reminded me of this: youtube.com/watch?v=0AjCAu…
