I done ran outta sympathy for certain shit. I ain’t as understanding as i used to be.
Nobody tells you this enough: The hardest years of parenting are often the years you’ll miss the most. The constant questions. The little voices. The tiny hands reaching for yours. You think you’re raising them. But they’re also giving you something: A version of life you’ll never experience again. Treat it like the gift it is.

Being postpartum sometimes you just wanna beef everyone all the damn time. It sure gets pretty hard to not snap every second 😭
Can we normalise talking to Allah and making Du’a even when nothing is wrong?
You need boredom. It calms the mind. Start by going on walks without music. No stimulation. No distractions. Just you and your free flowing thoughts. You’ll start having ideas once again. You’ll start developing an extreme sense of clarity. The kind of clarity that will shift you into the next stage of your life. All by simply being bored.
I have absolutely zero desire to see technology advance any further. No more AI. No more data centers. We don't need a new iPhone every year or flying cars.

Before you sleep tonight, place your hand on your chest and say this. Ya Allah, You are Al-Jabbar. You mend what is broken and You restore what has been lost. My heart has been carrying something I do not always have the words for. You know what it is. You have always known. I am asking You tonight not to leave me alone with it. Hold what I cannot hold. Heal what I cannot heal. And when the morning comes, let me feel even the smallest sign that You are working on what I brought to You. Ameen.
