Why are things expensive? 4 companies control 55% to 85% of the meat market. 4 airlines control 80% of air travel. 3 companies control 92% of the soda market. 3 companies control 73% of the cereal market. Why don't I hear about it? 6 companies control 90% of the news.
It's strange to see people defend corporations that make millions and billions of dollars while the vast majority that work for those corporations usually struggle just to survive.
@EricG1247 This is a damned good tweet.
@EricG1247 Airlines make less than $2.50 profit per passenger but yeah, it’s because they’re greedy lol
@EricG1247 And because of this, they can toss aside any little fine they may rack up due to animal abuse and environmental disasters… because what will they do if this one company shuts down 🤷🏻♀️
@EricG1247 @leblancweb I worked in corporate sales for a large food company, a lot of the control is through the retail system, they keep other people off the shelf, physically when necessary
