@woke8yearold "Forever a child" is an exaggeration. Down takes about 20 points off of your natural IQ, so your average person with Down is functional at a low adult level, and there are even people with Down syndrome and normal intelligence. Heart problems are a bigger issue for many.

@SandyofCthulhu @robinhanson They did. They had some 200,000 Ukrainians fighting for them in various units all over Germany. Later in the war, they tried to create a unified Ukrainian army. They did the same in the Baltics. The Germans were very active in recruiting from occupied regions.

@robinhanson This is not the correct way to see Germany in WW2. They were quite straightforwardly trying to re-create the status quo antebellum WW1 where a Germanic empire controlled central Europe as it had for the last 1,000 years. This ambition necessitated war.
