Socially anxious ESFJ problem: Walking/existing reaaaaalllyyy quietly and unintentionally scaring the bejeezus out of housemates. And, by extension, yourself, from the screaming.

My parents go into court tomorrow. This has been a long, messy, painful summer. And I’m scared even though I’m a Big Strong Adult™. Any love/encouragement/kind words/cute animal gifs you want to send this way would be welcome.
My love language is acts of service. But, like, more specific than that. My love language is when other people allow me to do acts of service for them. That’s it. That’s all I need.
Me leaving a text unanswered overnight: completely chill about it. Me not receiveing a reply within 5 minutes of sending a text: ABSOLUTELY ZERO CHILL. — Clearly, I am a child 🧐
Going through old journals (a truly mortifying experience) and finding that my preteen ESFJ self was constantly indignant about my peers being disrespectful to adults. The level of my indignant reactions is HILARIOUS.
Hello, I’m an ESFJ and I just felt guilty upon realizing my door was open because I was crying and afraid I might have disturbed other members of the household by neglecting to close the door. This is a problem.
I get such a rush of joy from simply having and taking the opportunity to show anyone genuine kindness, warmth, and respect. It’s so simple but so, so fulfilling.
Forever worried someone will find me frozen around a corner or on the steps just gathering the courage to ask someone something. Sincerely, the weirdo standing with feet on different steps and half hanging off the banister by the arm, unmoving.

If your house suddenly seems cleaner, go find the ESFJ living there who is afraid they irritated/upset you in some way.
"If you clean their kitchen they can't be mad at you for anything": the ESFJ conflict resolution/prevention mentality.
LOVE being the mom friend the vast majority of the time. But, you know, sometimes the mom friend needs a mom friend.
I get an unreasonable amount of joy from coming to a complete stop at a stop sign 🛑

@greaterknowledg Absolutely! There’s so much nuance and complexity to what makes us who we are that it can’t be narrowed into such rigid boxes of extrovert=outgoing.
I think it says a lot about me as a person and as an ESFJ that I was more nervous the other day sending a message asking someone I’m very close to if I could stay with them for a while than emailing my dad to tell him I wouldn’t attend his hearing. Life’s hard these days, folks😅
