“Today’s verdict means there is no accountability for the person who murdered our son. It sends the unacceptable message that armed civilians can show up in any town, incite violence, and then use the danger they have created to justify shooting people.” -family of Anthony Huber
@jimsciutto 1A right to protest has become exponentially more dangerous than it was an hour ago.
@ERohatinsky @jimsciutto Between that and insurrection anemic sentences and footdragging on pursuing Trump and congressional instigators it's time for the sane, the academics, ... to go expat.
@ERohatinsky @jimsciutto This. Even in the bluest of bubbles, we probably all have a Kyle nearby.
@ERohatinsky @jimsciutto Yes, yes it is. Protesters now know that there are lines that they can’t cross when it comes to violence of action. Attacking someone because you don’t like them or agree with what they say could result in the target of the attack using deadly force to protect themselves.
@ERohatinsky @jimsciutto No it hasnt. Just dont try to beat people with skateboards or point guns at them and all will be fine. Had they not done thise things, this never would have happened. EVERYONE is entitled to protect themselves.
