Social media sites are looking to monetize their security options. Would you pay for two-step verification on Twitter? fastcompany.com/90862625/a-soc…
@DuckDuckGo Please don't mislead with what actually happened. SMS authentication is really poor security, and Twitter should have removed it completely rather than lock it behind a paywall. App authentication, which is far more secure, remains free.
@DuckDuckGo At some point we need to get off of "pay for something we just thought of", protect your viewers.
@DuckDuckGo C'mon now, ya know betta than to spread #FUD. Twitter not charging for 2FA, just the SMS kind which actually costs a lot to provide & most ppl should not be using to begin with. I expect betta fm @DuckDuckGo 🤨
@DuckDuckGo I would pay for specialized marketing automation within each platform.
@DuckDuckGo Reading through the comments below, it's really a shame that with a few exceptions, most of your followers are buying your FUD "hook, line and sinker". Damn shame what this service has turned into since it was busted getting payola from Microsoft 🙄
@DuckDuckGo No. Security is a basic human right. I won't let myself be exploited in that way if I can avoid it.
