ECT this morning. 2 more maintenance treatments at 3 weekly intervals, then hopefully stop. Cognition & memory great (at least I think so!). It pains me to admit it, but depression did little for my intellect. Or anything, really. ECT appears to have helped. #thanks

@Parody_RCGP Why does the doctor at the breast care centre ask me to ask my Gp to refer me for a dexa scan that I need as I’m on letrozole? Why can’t he order it for me? He works in the same building
Every day we are told that our 2nd care colleagues support us. So why do we have multiple work dumps every single day? "I would also ask that his GP prescribe Prednisolone 40mg once a day for 5 days, before his date of surgery just to help with the preparation of his xxx."

Last week at work, whilst queuing for lunch, someone commented ‘that’s why we wait so long 🙄’ Yeah sorry Karen. In my 12hr shift I drive on lights and sirens almost constantly, treat critically injured and ill people and see the worst things imaginable But sorry for eating. 🚮

@RadRod71 @DrEmmaNash @Annareporting @NorthMidNHS Well, Rod, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but no. I have personally experienced not being seen at an ER in Houston (St. Luke’s). I had gallstones. Fortunately, I was able to go to another ER several days later when I was in Ohio.
@DrSpanielPaws @DeanEggitt Not as I understand it. GPs are not permitted to provide private GP services to their registered patients (quite rightly). No issue with patients registered elsewhere. (Don't forget to send their GP a report!)
@DeanEggitt There is plenty of money. It is just in the wrong hands. I do wonder if practices should start doing private GP work to top up funding for their GP practice. The rich prefer to pay for convenient services rather than tax. #RobinHoodEconomics
I spoke to a locum GP this weekend who is likely to give up her licence to practice as she has not had enough patient contact this year to prove competence (which is an annual requirement in England). This is due to a shortage of work, because no one can afford to employ GPs.
I’m an absolutely broken nurse tonight. I’m sick of being short staffed, over worked and abused by patients. I’m sick of having extra responsibility heaped on despite being so junior. I’m sick of crying before, during and/or after every shift.
