@easyJet really disappointed that EasyJet put their profits before their customers. I made a mistake taking a prepaid large cabin bag into the cabin rather than putting it in the hold and they charge me £48 for the privilege! No compassion!

Today millions of Christians around the world celebrate the fact that Jesus; although executed by the Roman authorities, was found to be alive three days later. He did not survive his execution, he was raised from the dead by God. This miracle is not just the foundation of the Christian faith it offers hope beyond death, forgiveness and a life of purpose pursuing love and justice in our world today for all of us. #HappyEaster

Alleluia, Christ is risen! No one could quite believe it yesterday when Jürgen Klopp, one of the best managers in the world, announced he’d be leaving @LFC at the end of the season. But in many ways it was a typical move for a manager who’s always tried to keep his ego in check & put his players first…

Widely unreported attack and murder of Christians on Christmas Eve in Nigeria. A shameful and repetitive pattern that continues unaddressed, creating an even greater sense of injustice and impunity. Once again, a time of joy and celebration becomes one of terror and mourning. We pray repose for the departed, comfort for the bereaved, healing for the injured of body and mind, and protection and safety for all those continuing to live faithfully under threat. Lord have mercy.

My thoughts in the FT today - inspired by @samjtomlin - on healing our divided society and one good reason to go to church this Christmas!

Matthew Perry lit up or lives with his comic genius. In Friends he always has the best lines and my entire friendship group would try to imitate his accent. It's so sad to hear that he has died after such a long struggle with addiction. He often spoke about wanting to know God. In his book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing he wrote: 'God, please help me,' I whispered. 'Show me that you are here. God, please help me. As I kneeled, the light slowly began to get bigger, and bigger, until it was so big that it encompassed the entire room. What was happening? And why was I starting to feel better?... Decades of struggling with God, and wrestling with life, and sadness, all was being washed away, like a river of pain gone into oblivion. I had been in the presence of God. I was certain of it. And this time of I had prayed for the right thing: help.' I'm glad to know despite his many struggles Perry knew; atleast for some moments, the love of God in his life. There's hope for all of us whatever we are going through.
