@DiverseAlz My husband has been transferred to a complex dementia unit. It’s an excellent place with fantastic care. The resident psychiatrist has been able to adjust his drugs, including some that are not available to general doctors. My husband has started laughing again - it’s lovely.

This little lads story is not over yet. Last week i visited my GP/Dr to seek help & support. I was left feeling like ending my life. I found myself in the middle of an immensely stressful, difficult situation..because I stood up for what i believe in, for doing the right thing.…
WITHOUT THESE THREE I wouldn’t be here today !!! When seriously ill with vasculitis which affected my mental wellbeing, they cared for me over a 5 year period enabling me to make a full recovery. Wife Lesley, daughter Nikki & puppy Poppy were my rocks. Now on to help others. 😊❤️

I'm sure there's a visceral reaction against accepting this picture at all for those in earlier stages, but those who live thro whole journey have no choice. #dementia
.@alzheimerssoc No way of framing #dementia wld have been acceptable to my mum, but it took her - & much of my life - anyway. Language in ad may be contentious, but IMO scenario honest. Vital to support PLWD to live as well as poss, but also to help those beyond that. #dementia
