There's literally no benefit to drinking alcohol. Do you agree?
@nokinidea @CoachDaleUK Moderate drinking seems to be good for the heart and circulatory system, and can protects against type 2 diabetes and gallstones. On top, drinking it here and there when fhishing, protect you from mosquitos ✌🏻
Had to look that claim up.... "No previous research has firmly established that drinking alcohol directly benefits heart health, such as by lowering high cholesterol levels or high blood pressure," A study, published March 25, 2022, by JAMA, found the general lifestyle habits of moderate drinkers — and not the drinking itself — were responsible for the group's lower risk for cardiovascular disease. The research found that as a group, light to moderate drinkers had healthier habits than abstainers. In general, they were more physically active, ate more vegetables and less red meat, didn't smoke and their body mass index was lower overall. "Taking just a few of these lifestyle factors into account significantly lessened any potential benefits associated with alcohol consumption, this suggests that healthy habits, and not alcohol consumption, may be what offered protection from cardiovascular disease."
