It is the genuine risk of the need for another Care Inquiry, that is of concern. Need to a strengthen oversight and scrutiny. Where are the regular updates reports to the JCC? Where is the commitment to external scrutiny the IJCI recommended and the States accepted.

“This lack of transparency and collaborative working is very concerning to me in relation to children’s rights to safety, advocacy, participation, standards of care and protection.” To say these are not homes but emergency arrangements misses the point entirely imo.

To put in perspective, the £200m announced today in the DfE's response to the #MacAlisterReview is 0.6% of the annual profits reported by Shell today (£32.2bn) More context: Shell are "Gold Partner" of Teach First, where MacAlister trained and partnered while at Frontline.
