Xavier Woods on Roman Reigns potentially retaining at WrestleMania: “No chance. There’s absolutely no way he walks out of WrestleMania with that championship. If he somehow manages to do so, I’ll have to watch my words, but I’m fully confident he won’t be champion after WrestleMania 40. Then, perhaps, we’ll have a champion who actually shows up and defends the title more regularly. Then, maybe, other contenders will have a genuine shot at winning the Universal Championship.” (WWE: Die Woche)
@WrestleFeatures There’s no way they have Roman walk out champion especially when they’re allegedly doing an entire underdog Rocky kind of thing for Cody because it’s in Philly. If Cody doesn’t win at 40, then they might as well never crown him champion
@Cory_Hays407 @WrestleFeatures I agree. They have had him build this story since last wrestlemania of fighting to get that spot again and if they make him lose the 2nd year in a row I think his story then loses momentum because he failed again. And I honestly don't thi k they have him win the rumble again
@NicolaHynes1 @Cory_Hays407 @WrestleFeatures Where do they go if Cody wins? Kind of grinds the whole story to a halt. The story is in the chase. Can’t imagine Cody would be very interesting as champion. Hell, he’s already boring af to begin with.
@DanTucker85 Stories can't last forever. This one ends, a new one begins.
@DanTucker85 @NicolaHynes1 @Cory_Hays407 @WrestleFeatures Oh he would...especially knowing Draft always happens after Wrestlemania. If Cody wins you got many options to use. Like idk a Orton vs Rhodes feud.
@DanTucker85 @NicolaHynes1 @Cory_Hays407 @WrestleFeatures He’d be champion and actually be there week after week, could feud with so many new potential WWE superstars. His story is to win the title. Then start a whole new story that’s what pro wrestling is a soap opera of entertainment.
